Meet the locals where they live and where they go out to eat. Sip wine. Follow the history through the food of the cultures that came through here, Amerindian, British and French among them. The Food Tour offers the opportunity to discover these different culinary and cultural traditions.
During this walking tour, you will taste the typical and local specialties from a variety of shops such as: "La Buche"(Traditional Quebec cuisine with a modern twist), "Le Tournebroche"(organic rotisserie), Maple Delights, "Le Snack Bar"(For a poutine), "Le Moine Échanson", (French bistro selling organic wine) "Crêperie le Billig"(for crepes), and, to topple it, "Choco-Musée Érico"(chocolate museum and store). The tour will stop at these 7 different venues and you will sample around 15 products overall. 4 of these stops offer food and wine pairing. Chefs can vary the content of samples. Accompanied by a Tours Voir Québec local professional guide, take time to discover some of the highlights of Old Quebec City and the picturesque Saint-Jean-Baptiste district, a popular neighbourhood in the city. Throughout this 2.5-hour tour, enjoy the pleasure of authentic Quebec products. The itinerary of the Food Tour varies greatly from the Grand Tour. In fact, the area visited is entirely different, allowing a complete discovery of old Quebec city when both tours are combined.
Unfortunately, our partnerships with different venues does not allow us to adapt the samplings to allergies and dietary restrictions.
The Food Tour departs from Tours Voir Québec’s sales desk located inside the Quebec Tourist Information Centre (12, rue Ste-Anne) across the park from highly visible Chateau Frontenac.
