TRAVEL EXPERIENCES:

I have been to many places in Canada and the United States, and visited several countries in Europe, as well as Vietnam.

BEFORE BEING A GUIDE:

I worked as a Translator and Director of Language Services in Ottawa.

WHY I BECAME A GUIDE:

I am truly passionate about my home town, where I came back after I retired. I had always wanted to learn everything there is to know about the rich history, the unique architecture, the natural beauties and the vibrant economy of this city. Sharing all that with our tourists is my passion!

IN MY TOURS, I LIKE TO FOCUS ON:

The big and the small history of Quebec City. Its architecture. Its military past. Its religious heritage. And the way Quebecers live today. Adding some anecdotes and curiosities along the way.

SOME CURIOSITIES:

What if Champlain’s face was in fact that of another man?

How was the dead body of General Wolfe shipped back to England?

How do we say ‘window shopping’ in French?

MY FAVORITE READINGS OF QUEBEC CITY:

The History of Old Quebec through its heritage by Jean Provencher

Old Quebec - Jean-Marie Lebel's walker's guide
