A scavenger hunt on foot: another way to discover Old Québec
What better way to bring colleagues, friends or family together than one of the group activities Quebecers ask for most: the historical Scavenger Hunts of Tours Voir Québec. Teams set off through the streets of Old Québec with a route sheet, a series of questions and a time limit, and come back with the answers, a few stories, and usually a strong opinion about who cheated.
How it works
The scavenger hunt is built on the participants' level of knowledge of Old Québec and its heritage sites. Questions are adapted to the group, and the course can be made tighter or looser to fit your schedule. Some questions test what you know about the city's history; many simply send you looking for details in the architecture of the main historic buildings that most visitors walk past without noticing.
"An activity everyone enjoyed. Wow!" Johanne Bacque, CLD de Québec
A group activity with no worries for the organiser
Tours Voir Québec prepares the route, the questions and the answer sheets, briefs the teams at the start, and collects and marks the answers at the finish. The schedule is entirely flexible: you choose the date and the time. A minimum of 10 paying participants is required, and we recommend teams of 3 to 5 people for groups under 60; larger teams work better above that.
School groups
We have designed scavenger hunts adapted to school groups of different grade levels, in English or in French. They pair well with a guided walk in the morning and a Scavenger Hunt in the afternoon, or with the step-on guide service for groups arriving by coach. Teachers can ask for the questions to match what the class is studying.
Corporate groups and conferences
For a conference, an incentive trip or a team outing, the Scavenger Hunt can be scheduled between sessions or at the end of the day, and combined with a private walking tour, a step-on guide aboard your coach, or a full itinerary planned by our Tour and Travel service. Tell us the size of the group and the time you have, and we will build the rest around you.
