Tours I do: Walking tours, groups or private, school groups

Preferred anecdote: Ask what a sash window is in French (guillotine).

Travel experience: Having lived in Germany during seven years, I had the opportunity to visit many European countries. During the last years, I visited Sri Lanka, China, Kenya, Vietnam, Cambodia and the United Arab Emirates.

Before being a tour guide: Administrative assistant in a chartered accountants firm.

Why did I become a tour guide: My love and pride for Quebec City as well as a new challenge once retired.

In my tours I particularly insist on: The Old Quebec being part of the Unesco’s World Heritage List and the different types of architecture throughout the city.

A book I recommend about Quebec city history: Champlain’s Dream by David Hackett Fischer.
